I just realized that there is another plugin that pretty much does exactly what I want: As I really just want to quickly remove any unused attachments (which includes images) and all my images are stored in There's another extension focusing on deleting images specifically - could be an option for others too: https://github.com/ozntel/oz-clear-unused-images-obsidian Closing this for now. |

Hi,
first of all, thanks for the plugin, I really like it!
However, at the moment, my only real use case for this is removing unused images.
I have managed to get this working like so:
Setup (in plugin settings -> Settings for finding orphaned files)
Excalidraw
folder is added to excludes below (otherwise might delete SVGs etc. used internally)md
is added below (don't want orphaned notes to be included in the output file!)*
to 'Filetypes to delete per command', or to be safe, define specific image file extensionsActual cleanup procedure
Find orphaned files
orphaned files output.md
(root of vault)Delete orphaned files with certain extension
and confirmorphaned files output.md
Would be nice if those steps could just be automated, so that one only has to run a high-level 'Remove unused images' command.
As a bonus, maybe a popup could be displayed that lists the paths of the images and allows one to quickly preview them (though I can imagine this is a lot of work 😅).
What do you think of that? 🙂
Best regards,
Samo
