As myself @iainbrighton had already had a short discussion on the ability to share Lab configurations I felt it best to create an issue to get some other input on this (also so that I can link to this from my blog post)

Good shout! I would like to be able to download a single configuration without having to download all the community configurations.

Ideally this would be via a PowerShellGet provider. If we could leverage @dfinke 's Gist provider, this could be bootstrapped via Lability and provide the ability to find and download configurations. Everyone knows how to contribute to GitHub, right?! Thoughts?

What about editing the Readme to add some other scenarios? One that comes to mind is how to enact a dsc configuration on a child VM.

Any updates on this discussion? Are there any updates on DSC configuration support in the PowerShell Gallery? That would be optimal, since we would get the underlying functionality "for free" like with the xHyperV DSC resource.
