Following is a guide on how to build a frame from scratch. You can skip this part if you already have a Tronxy X5* frame.

The frame is connected via blind joints. Nero 3D has a good informational video about them:

Building the Frame

  1. Tap M5 threads for I and V type or M6 threads into the end of all 4020 alumuminium profiles.

  2. Drill clearance at the end of all 2020 aluminium profiles facing the same direction for each profile.

  3. Screw in the button head screws in all tapped holes, so that they are not fully screwed in by about 3 mm.

  4. Assemble the frame as in the following picture
