First of all, I want to express my gratitude for developing Workbench. It has been extremely helpful to me. However, I have encountered a recurring issue with file access permissions while using wb_view.app 2.0.0 on macOS.

Problem:

When I try to open files in a folder (e.g., Desktop) using wb_view.app’s command+O, a pop-up appears asking for permission to allow wb_view to access that folder. Even after confirming and allowing access, the prompt often reappears multiple times (up to four times in some cases) before I can actually open the folder. The strangest part is that even on subsequent attempts to access the same folder, I still have to confirm and allow access, with the same multiple pop-ups (sometimes up to four again) appearing before I can proceed.

I have tried granting full disk access to wb_view.app, but even with this permission, the pop-up still appears repeatedly.

Reproducibility:

I was able to replicate this issue on two different Macs, one with the system language set to Chinese and the other set to English. Both Macs are running macOS 15.0.1.

Is there any solution or workaround that could help resolve this issue?

My understanding is that this is related to a change in macOS behavior in macOS 15. I am not sure why it appears so frequently though.

Thank you for your quick reply. I have noticed that when running version 1.5 of wb_view.app on the same system, this issue does not seem to occur. I’m not sure if this information is helpful, but I thought it might provide some context.
