Scroll wheel behaviour is broken #2631
Comments
The mouse wheel alone should not behave that way. The behavior you mentioned occurs when you use the mouse wheel while holding down the right mouse button or the Alt key. Are you sure you are not using it in this way? If you are not, WinMerge might be mistakenly detecting the Alt key as pressed. Restarting your computer or trying the latest beta version of WinMerge might resolve the issue. |
@sdottaka Thanks for your response. I'm definitely not holding the mouse button or Alt key. Restarting the computer did not help (tried that before). |
Thank you for your confirmation. https://github.com/WinMerge/winmerge/releases/tag/v2.16.45.1 |
Since upgrading from version
2.16.42.1
to version2.16.44.0
, the behaviour of the scroll wheel is broken.Instead of the expected behaviour of scrolling the screen, it causes jumping from diff to diff, which is extremely annoying and counter-intuitive.
