Utility of "Browse the code" section #104

I wonder if theme moderators use that link? I do actually use the "Browse the code" section on themes and plugins fairly often (part of vetting whether I want to use it). It's definitely a "power user" kind of thing but those would be the vocal people if we removed it. I'm inclined to leave it as is and wait for the redesign to overhaul the IA (this included). |

I agree with @StevenDufresne, that whole section should go. People like power users and theme moderators know how to find this code. Those links aren't useful for 99% of the public and I don't think they belong there. |

@nickhamze @StevenDufresne I've converted this to a discussion so that we can keep iterating on the idea for a later redesign, but for the "refresh" project we're launching now I don't want to remove any functionality. |

The rule of thumb is that the core should provide features that 80% or more of end users will actually appreciate and use. I think too many features in the directory weren't thought up with this in mind. I'm ok with hiding all the stuff I want to remove behind a advanced panel as a compromise. |

Describe the bug
I think we can probably remove the whole "Browse the code" section but it does communicates the open-source mantra that we follow.... but the "Trac tickets" link seems exceptionally useless for users.
