A toolkit for building custom minimal, immutable Linux distributions. Builds each component as an OCI image in amd64 and arm64, and then composes them into minimal immutable OS in each.
Describe your use case for these machines
Building the "packages", i.e. OCI images that contain OS components
Building (composing) the OS itself
Running tests on each of the components and the OS
Which members of the community would benefit from your work?
All who use linuxkit.
Is the code that you’re going to run 100% open source?
Please outline your credits requirements at a high level to support Arm builds (purpose, duration, amount, other)
We run a few dozen builds per week, each of which lasts 40 mins to 1 hour.
We need ARM for:
Building the ARM packages, only when they have changed. The system, is efficient and only builds what has changed.
OS tests
We do not need them to compose the OS, as OS composition is architecture-neutral
Does the project allows the use of your project logo on ARM's developer website freely? Yes
