[Feature]: Ridgebeams for builds on odd blocks. #464
Comments
Can you provide an image of what you would imagine this to look like in game? My first instinct would be to just use the existing Framed Half Slopes for this, but I'm probably missing an important detail here. |
There are a couple of ridge blocks, neither match angles. Also, there is no block available for ridges to come together at 90° angles. This isn't and issue on build that are even width, but for builds on odd widths it is. There should also be blocks available for ridges that are built on one side being even and the other side odd. I am no artist. If my drawing don't convey what I am trying to communicate, web search 4 way ridge for examples of what I mean. |
I completely misunderstood what you meant at first, this makes a lot more sense now. The shape with two opposing slopes for the long parts of the roof are already planned, see #390. I'll add the cross variant for the center and the variant for combining even and odd roofs to the planned blocks. |
Added the three-way variant to the list as well. As for dormer-style blocks: I have plans for an architecture-focused addon which would be a better fit for something like that. You should already be able to replicate these for the most part with existing blocks though. |
Describe the feature
Ridge beam blocks for builds on an odd count. Varied slope angles for 2, 3, and 4 way ridges.
