We use https://github.com/aggregateknowledge/java-hll for the reporting to count unique urls efficiently. Sadly, the HLL project is 10 years old and not alive.
Let's see if we can use https://datasketches.apache.org/docs/Community/Downloads.html with the HLL or an alternative from that universe: https://datasketches.apache.org/docs/HLL/HLL.html.
We can also check https://github.com/prasanthj/hyperloglog
As a last resort, we can fork and slim it.
We always have to check the performance impact when replacing it using some large results of our customers.
