Version tracking?

Dear all,

I admit that I am not quite sure how the Zkn3 file architecture works, however it looks the data are stored as a series of different XML files, all compressed into zip archive. Would it be possible to create a feature for the program which allows it to read from an uncompressed folder?

I ask because were this so, I could use Git to version conrol my Zettelkasten and see the edits in the XML.
