In the previous post, I mentioned some implications of Idealism in the Theoretical Physics.
With inclination towards Idealism and method like Rationalism, modern Theoretical Physics seems to have been inspired by Kant.
Modern Theoretical Physics is also a complex blend of Empiricism and Idealism with more emphasis on Idealism and role of Empirical facts is only subordinate to ideas.
Method of Theoretical Physics is same as Rationalist Philosophy of René Descartes. I have explained this point in the Preface and First Chapter of my second book (2019).
But since Idealism also has great domination over Theoretical Physics, along with a complex blend of Empiricism and Rationalism, the true identity of Theoretical Physics is more inspired by Kant.
Anyhow, following are the relevant sections of my book (2019):
Preface & Complete 1st Chapter - Book: "Philosophy Unscrambles Dark Matter"
