this looks to be a bug with SwiftUI and TextFields. Unfortunately I cannot work around it at the moment because I cannot edit the WebView to use a custom field for input. Will keep this open because I do plan to implement my own custom chat which will have a better input field. it's also possible a newer version of SwiftUI will fix this.
