The protocol doc, https://sdk.ably.com/builds/ably/specification/main/protocol/ , is rarely touched, rarely used, usually forgotten about, and almost certainly out of date in several respects. Everyone just uses the features spec.

The repository should acknowledge this reality by just folding any useful and up-to-date parts into the features spec.

Same applies to the other documents (websocket, encryption, comet).
