Yes, you can. If you have time to Skype this weekend, we could bang it out |
Sounds interesting to me. PM me with your Skype ID and I'll give you a call. |
Why don't we use an already established solution? Like: http://github.com/lukeredpath/libPusher (http://pusherapp.com) |
Nice... looks good... I already have an implementation, but this is also |
Alright, a solution which runs on the own server would be much nicer ;-) |
How about a pair this weekend? Tmr? Sun? Sent from my iPhone On Aug 19, 2011, at 10:32 AM, [email protected] wrote:

Sun fits me best. I'm currently based in Germany (GMT +2). So we have to find a time where we both are online at Skype. |
Another already established solution I found is: http://github.com/honcheng/iOS-nodechat |
Sweet... I'll check that out. Thanks for sharing. :) |
hey guys, I've just browsed your chat above. I have a solution for your problem. I am a newbie at node.js, just did some node.js/socket.io stuff to make a simple push like app. But dint have the server to run it ? do u know any free server to host node.js/socket.io app ? or even someway to establish vpn between iPhone and my Mac ? |
What about Heroku or Nodejitsu? |
hmmm...!! i tried nodester but was not very helpful. can we have a online chat for doing some code marathon, we think of some idea and do a marathon to finish it ?? would u be interested ? |
OK. I'm working on a simple Node.js WebSocket chat server that I will push to a new GitHub repository soon. :-) |
Pushed to https://github.com/acani/Chats-Chat-Server This chat server works, but:
Instructions: https://github.com/acani/Chats/wiki/Run-Servers-Locally-on-OS-X#chat-server |
I'm not a web developer, so I can't help much here :-(
