After installing 3DR under IIS7.5 missing assembly error #21
Comments
I've managed to get Fedora running and when I run manually the IISConfigure /i "C:\Program Files (x86)\3D Repository" it completes without an error but I can't see anything change in the IIS Server Manager. I've been trying different approaches to setup both 34d.service.host and VwarWeb not success yet. |
FYI, for running 3DR I started with an empty Windows Server 2008 hosted with windowsazure.com - its a mini instance with a shared core and 768mb ram. |
Any resolution to this? I too have not been able to get the 3DR installed with an empty Windows Server 2008 on Azure OR on a dedicated machine. Is there an updated installer? I really need to get this installed. |
I ran the file http://3dr.adlnet.gov/dev/3DR_setup_0.3.0.exe on a blank Army Gold Master server instance recently, as well as on an Server 2008 AWS VM. This seemed to work properly. However, updating to the release that is currently in GitHub is complicated, and we need to write a new installer. Have you tried the 3.0 installer? I've also found that the 3.0 installer references a download for Java that no longer exists. If you install Java manually, this step will be skipped. Can you paste the entire error message here? |
Yes, that would certainly be wonderful if you could do that! We really need our own instance of the 3DR to further develop the virtual world sandbox. :=)Thanks! |
After building and running the 3DR installer I don't get it automatically under IIS7. I add it manually pointing to the VwarWeb as 4.0 app group. Is that correct? When I try it in the browser, I get this error: Could not load file or assembly 'ConverterWrapper'
Also, Fedora doesn't start as it says that JAVA_HOME should point to JDK not JRE. Do I need Fedora running or is that just for the federation feature?
