I get the following error when I use java 10:

I found a work-around here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/695560/assistive-technology-not-found-awterror.

Except I am using java-11-openjdk. Commenting out the line in /etc/java-11-openjdk/accessibility.properties fixes the issue.
