I made an update to some of the code as part of an integration of this tool into ZenML. I wasn't sure whether you'd be interested in a contribution of these updates back into the pigeon library (since there haven't been any changes in 7 years). Happy to do so if you'd be interested. I also added a 'submit' button and some minor UI updates.
