Consider adding a ratings system. It is the one thing Ampache gives me that nobody else does. Ampache does 1-5 stars. I actually wish it was 1-10 stars, but 1-5 works. I rate like this:
1star - hate this song, NEVER want to hear it again
2star - dont really like this song, prefer to never listen to it.
3star - song is ok, I can listen to it, just not a favorite or anything.
4star - I really like this song, its a great song!
5star - one of my absolute favorite songs, can jam out to this song no matter how often I hear it.
When you combine ratings with smart playlists you can do wonderful things.
Consider I have songs rated, and so does my wife. I can create a smart playlist where the songs are comprised of songs that we have both rated 3stars or higher, etc. Now in the car we can listen to music that we both like, and all we had to do was both set ratings in the application for our music collection.
You can also create Smart playlists based on other smart playlists with further stipulations, for example a particular genre.
Here are a couple examples from my ampache install.
I hope this feedback is useful to your development, I am a huge fan of anything that uses Rust, so this application is absolutely on my radar!
