I'm using sioyek 2.0.0 and macOS 15.3 (24D60).

sioyek --nofocus file.pdf

The sioyek window will still get focused.

I think this is fixed in the development branch.

There is a preview release here: https://github.com/ahrm/sioyek/releases/tag/sioyek3-alpha0.

Thanks! When sioyek firstly launches, it still gets focused. This is the command I used.

/Applications/sioyek.app/Contents/MacOS/sioyek --nofocus

Well yes, the nofocus is used so that sioyek is not focused again when e.g. using --execute-command from the command line, but the first sioyek instance will always be focused. What is the purpose of launching sioyek without it having focus?

Thanks for the clarification! Indeed launching sioyek without it having focus is a bit too niche of the use. I will close the issue.
