To support the team with a local environment that closely mirrors our production instrumentation stack, we are developing a Docker Compose setup for testing. Our goal is to create custom Dockerfiles for each tool in the stack, embedding the necessary configuration files directly into the images. This approach will keep our product repositories clean, avoiding unnecessary clutter, and will provide a reusable setup for any project that requires it.

The following tools will have custom configured images:

  • Alloy
  • Loki
  • Tempo
  • Prometheus
