Summary

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) serves as the final phase in the development lifecycle of the Finesse tool, the CFIA search engine. We have reached this stage following the successful outcomes of the Finesse benchmarking phase, which conclusively demonstrated the tool's readiness for deployment. By conducting UAT, we aim to validate user requirements, identify any defects or issues that may have been overlooked, enhance user satisfaction, and mitigate deployment risks.

Tasks

• Recruit a group of users for testing, ensuring a mix of expertise levels. #93
• Write a documentation in the wiki to describe and to plan in details the UAT process. #92
• Conduct UAT sessions, observing users as they interact with the semantic search feature. #94

Acceptance Criteria

• Completion of user acceptance testing with documented results.
• Positive feedback from users, indicating that the search feature is user-friendly, accurate, and efficient.
• Identification of any issues or areas for improvement, with a plan for addressing them in subsequent iterations.
• Confirmation that the semantic search feature aligns with user needs and expectations.
