Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In its current application, the "Directories" box on the user interface is not useful. While I can create new directories and name them, and save images to them if I want, I can't retrieve or review these images or results at a later date (or after I refresh the webpage.) I only have access to the captures of the current session.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally I think this area would store a kind of "user history" where I could view my previous images and the test results they generated; I could rename and organize the files in a way that was useful to me for tracking my work history (eg. by sample number, date, etc.), and re-arrange images within them if I accidentally save something to the wrong directory. When I clicked on a directory in this list, it would bring up the list of files within it in the Captures field, allowing me to see what I had analyzed where.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Alternatively, we could just remove this field from user visibility entirely. I understand we would continue to save the user's images on the back end, but if the user has no ability to access or retrieve these, there's no reason to have part of our valuable interface space taken up with a list of directories I can't access. This might be the best short-term solution as I imagine it is a lot less work! 😉
