abctl install stuck at pulling images

What happened?

I run "abctl local install" and it's stuck when pulling images.

EDIT: My problem was the machine size. As soon as I upgraded to t2.2xlarge, pods started coming up

I see the same problem happening. After the helm chart starts with installation it keeps giving warning about Back-off pulling image (from Kubernetes I assume) until finally it errors out saying unable to install airbyte chart: unable to install helm: context deadline exceeded. Please help 🙏

I had this same issue and ended up trying to update Ubuntu when I found this error:

Although the install took much longer then prior installs it eventually succeeded and I am now up and running

After some retries, I can install it successfully. But it takes a very long time, i think it can go up to 1 or 2 hours. One tip, if it fails, just run "abctl local uninstall" before running "abctl local install" again.
I'd have to say that compared to depreciated docker compose method, it takes much longer time. Hopefully Airbyte team can improve it to be faster and more stable.

Same issue here, 20 minutes running. Should I wait for it to finish? seems like a long time just to pull images.

My setup:
abctl v0.23.0

GCP: n2-standard-2
(2 vCPUs, 8GB RAM, 100GB disk)

2 CPU's will likely be very tight and may be the cause of the issue. You can try --low-resource-mode, but I would suggest at least 4 cpus and at least 8gb of memory. An 8/16 would be my recommendation.
