Image Sharing Site built with Kitura
Create a docker volume for persistence: docker volume create couchdb
Start the container:
docker run -d -p 5984:5984 -v couchdb:/opt/couchdb/data apache/couchdb
Create admin user (otherwise anyone is allowed to login) using web ui: http://localhost:5984/_utils/#createAdmin/nonode@nohost
Create a new database by clicking on Create Database button in the following URL:
http://localhost:5984/_utils/#/_all_dbs
Create a new view in couchDB to return all images using script below (chmod +x first):
./scripts/insert_images.sh --username=USER --password=PASS

Clone the repository: https://github.com/akbisw/ImgAIR.git
Change directory to the project directory:
git clone https://github.com/akbisw/ImgAIR.git
Create an Environment file in the project root to store Database credentials:
vim .env
# CouchDB configuration
DB_HOSTNAME="localhost"
DB_PORT=5984
DB_HTTPS=false
DB_USERNAME=dbuser
DB_PASSWORD=dbpassword
DB_NAME=image_db
# App configuration
APP_PORT=8090
Build Project:
swift build
Run Project:
./.build/debug/ImgAir
Open the following url on Firefox/Chrome: http://localhost:8090
I have some example cat pictures in scripts/cats directory. Feel free to test using those images.
