Existing content is overwritten when you "Make Doc Folder Note" using Folder Note plugin #63

I've set up Zoottelkeeper with Templater, using the instructions here. If you create a folder, Zoottelkeeper correctly creates the Folder Note. But there's an overwrite issue with Make Doc Folder Note.

To reproduce:

  • Create a new note called Demo.
  • Enter some content in the note.
  • Choose "Make Doc Folder Note" from the note's context menu.
  • Zoottelkeeper overwrites the entire file with the template set in Zoottelkeeper, instead of appending to the existing content.

Thanks!

I think I'm having this same issue - but even Zoottelkeeper's templates are erased

It erased the contents of my files completely, when i enabled the plugin
I didnt notice it, and now there's no way to recover it, and heafty chunk of my work on the project is gone
Cant it just have an option to not replace, but add to the file?
If no, then i need an option for it to index the files, without adding the template to a new folder, just at least a tiny switch that turns off the "replace contents with template" function
