I am trying to build 3D reconstructions of the indoor structure of homes. I have played around with a few different SfM pipelines, but they usually seem to fall short when dealing with textureless areas (as expected). I would like to test the use of monocular depth estimation with a reconstruction pipeline to see if using external depth maps can improve the reconstruction process, which leads me to my question: does Meshroom natively support the use of external depth maps?

Hello Joel, we don't have a node in native Meshroom for that yet. But you may have a look at what we do in Meshroom Research to import Colmap depth maps . Beware that you may want to use the node DepthMapTransform on the ouptut depth maps to convert it from the 'usual' depth map format to meshroom's format.

I am very interested to see results from a zed2i. This camera can supply depth information, as well as imu and stereo images. how can we leverage all of this information to do 3d reconstruction in meshroom.
