Install issue

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy all content to /var/www/directory
2. Added database named Traceper in phpMyAdmin and imported the SQL file with 
sucess
3. Caught CException error (Application runtime path 
"/var/www/trac/protected/runtime" is not valid. Please make sure it is a 
directory writable by the Web server process.)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was expecting install steps forward web application.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm currently using Ubuntu Server (x64) 12.10, with apache2 phpmydamin php5.3 
modules under a Dell PowerEdge 2850 server.
