Is this project still maintained? #96

Hello, According to GitHub, the I don't use Outshine anymore; when I did, I only used a fraction of its features. I'm here basically to merge simple bug-fix commits. @thblt, I'm guessing, doesn't use it anymore, either. I'm willing to merge refactoring commits as long as they are very cleanly done and easy to review. Beyond that, if someone else who uses the library regularly is interested in helping to maintain it, that would be welcome. If it's someone I'm not already familiar with, I'd review the contributions for a while before considering to appoint them as a maintainer with commit rights. |
Thank's for the information and the work. I am using it a lot these days (for very short fraction of its features : mainly hide/show sections) but have not played seriously with emacslisp for a while, so I wont be able to help maintain this package. Hopefully someone with recent emacslisp will be able to help. Just out of curiosity, do you have replaced your use of Outshine with some others package/library? |
There are a variety of packages dealing with hiding/showing/folding nowadays. Check MELPA, Reddit r/emacs discussions, etc.
Not specifically. I hardly ever used it anyway. See other discussions on this tracker for talk about what features it actually provides, how it should probably be reimplemented on top of outline-minor-mode, etc. |
Hey all :)
Indeed, I've stopped using outshine and replaced it with the combination of tarsius' |
As far as I can see the last commit on the
master
branch is 2 years old but thetrunk
one received commit only 3 months ago. Moreover last updated issues is 6 months old.I really love this library, and thus I would like to know if it is still maintained or if I must consider it as a will stay in that state library?
