"Copy to Clipboard" doesn't work in Firefox, works oddly in Chrome #7

Tried the "Copy to Clipboard" button in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. In each browser, different things happened:

Safari: Works great
Firefox: doesn't work at all (nothing was copied to the clipboard)
Chrome: 2 newlines were copied before the text, and 1 newline after

Versions of each browser

Safari: Version 11.1 (13605.1.33.1.4)
Firefox: 60.0
Chrome: Version 66.0.3359.181 (Official Build) (64-bit)
