User Story

  1. As an RTDIP developer
  2. I want to be able handle a greater range of input data
  3. So that I can offer more robust components and make them easier to use

Additional context

Acceptance Criteria

  • New methods are proposed to improve the robustness of our components
  • The imporvements should leverage our unified data validation, introduced in Unified input data validation #60

Definition of Done

  • Test cases have been created and are running successfully
  • Documentation for the new component was added
  • Github Actions are running without errors

Discussing this, it seemed unclear how to approach this. We moved this to the end of the backlog for now.
