All attendees and volunteers at #SBCON are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or technology choices. We don’t tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including walks, lightning talks, hackathon and any online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a prior warning at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images, in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they’ll be wearing badges.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow the rules mentioned in the next section at conference and conference-related social events.
- Participants of Hackathon must reach Statusbrew HQ, Amritsar before or at 9:00 hours on June 15, 2017. Late entries will not be entertained
- ID Cards will be distributed and attendance will be marked at 9:15 hours Teams are requested to take their respective seats and settle down after the onboarding process completes
- Participants for Lightning Talks must reach Statusbrew HQ, Amritsar before or at 11:00 hours on June 16, 2017. Late entries will not be entertained
- You are required to arrange your accommodation on your own, if you wish to stay out or take rest during the event. However, if you wish, you can bring a pair of clothes and can use bathroom facility available on premises to change your clothes on the second day
- Food & Beverages will be available throughout the event during the day and night
- Participants will only be allowed to enter the premises during the event if they have valid invitations sent by Statusbrew HQ
- All the participants are required to maintain discipline and necessary decorum during the event. Any participant violating the rules will be expelled without any prior warning
- All the participants are required to wear the ID Cards throughout the event
- Any participant causing any harm to the organization property will be liable to pay for the damages
- No participant shall be under the influence of or using alcoholic beverages including drinking such beverages during the event. Any participant arriving to event under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substance will not be permitted to attend the event
- Under no circumstances should the participant leave the organization premises early without informing the organizing team members
- Participants are expected to conduct themselves during the event in a manner that contributes to operating effectiveness, productivity, safety and harmonious environment
- Any kind of weapons, firecrackers, flares, or any other objects that could endanger human life are strictly not allowed inside the organization premises
- The organizing authority reserves the right to inspect the clothes or baggage of persons entering the event. Those who refuse to take this step will be recessed
- The participants should take care of their belongings and the organization should not be held responsible for any losses incurred during the event. Also, the organization doesn’t accept the responsibility for the property left on premises after the event
- The decision made by the jury will be treated as the final decision under any circumstances
- Jury holds the right to disqualify any team or submission if any member of the team doesn’t comply with the rules mentioned in section 2.3 or the plagiarism is found in the application code
- Results of the hackathon will be based on the idea taken up by the team, quality of the code and presentation given by the team after the end of the hackathon
- Any participant or team found indulged in any kind of malpractices including obstructing other teams will be expelled or disqualified from event
