We are noticing that Amazon is not return Amazon Partnered UPS options in certain situations.

For example we created a 4,000 lb plan which resulted in multiple options including:

  • 5 centers splits -- including LTL & UPS APC
  • 2 center splits -- including LTL & UPS APC
  • 1 center split (single center) with ONLY APC LTL but NO UPS

All of the box data was the same -- the only thing we can identify is, obviously, the total weight and # of boxes to the single center would be greater than the 2 center or 5 center splits because all of the boxes would go there.

So the question, why can't we ship, or at least get a quote and choose to ship APC UPS?

Is this a temporary glitch or an intentional "feature"? We tried regenerating transportation options and the same issue occurred.

There are times that even when shipments are large, UPS Ground is the cheapest option.

Not 100% sure but it seems it may be related to a "200 box" rule -- APC UPS is limited to 200 boxes apparently (which we had not typically hit under the old API workflow) and non-APC UPS is limited to 500 boxes (hazmat etc)
