Syscon "Not Patchable" / "Overwritten coreOs slot" status #17
Comments
About "not patchable" sysconIf tool says "not patchable" (original syscon dump) it means your coreOs slot is already overwritten (in sflash) and FW revert isn't possible (99,999...%). Why it happens? Well, when PS4 has downloaded FW update in background it silently writes fw to sflash (into previous coreOs) and added (0C-23) entries to syscon. Tool detects FW update (0C-23) entries after last installed FW entries (08-0B) in syscon dump and warns you. There is no known method to fix it for now. In some rare cases you can try your luck and apply manual patch. Just delete everything below last blue entry. It will be patchable after that. But still there is minimal chance of success.Any ideas regarding this problem are welcome. Any questions like - My syscon is "not patchable"! What should I do!? Help! - will be blocked without any reason. |
Is there a solution to this problem in the near future, and what about the latest version of your wonderful program, when will it be converted to exe . thank you |
The problem is not in syscon but in SFLASH. I strongly doubt that there will be solution in future. It requires to generate new CoreOS fw but its not possible without private keys. However there is always a place for a miracle (key leaks, fw bugs and etc) EXE files are released with major version update. Closest release is planned for December 2023. |
Thank you for your response and I wish you all the success in your work and life |
