Bad map loading experience

I noticed that the map data ( https://planet.openstreetmap.org/ ) is completely public, so I can download the map and deploy it locally, right? I don't know what the content returned by the POST interface is, but I think this seems to work. I know the map is about 125G, but it doesn't matter.
