Just saw this project on HN and am very impressed. I just want to suggest that can we have due date and recurring option to tiles? that would make it more usable

For whatever it's worth, this makes me think of Org. (It's around as old as MarkDown, syntax is older, and is basically "MarkDown but programmable" because it came out of Emacs. Obvious features added even if you don't program it: TODO/DONE entries, tags on entries, and dates with optional recurrence.)
There's not really much to the data format, each card is just a string, and there's a translation function that makes the HTML for the body of the card. I'm not sure how you'd do due due or recurrence in the data, but it's not too hard to inject such features once you can parse them from the text, e.g. how I added markdown-style link syntax to make my cards more concise: #67
