Most centos vulnerabilities cannot be fixed

As I know, most vulnerabilities detected by image scanners can be remediated by upgrading the software(yum or apt), however, because centos and redhat share vulnerability database, there are still many vulnerabilities that cannot be fixed even after yum update, and centos officials have not stated if they are affected by these vulnerabilities, so how can I address these vulnerabilities?
