During testing, the following behaviors were observed:

The following were not Stored in DB during export and/or lost on Import from DB.

  • Relationship Text Alignment
  • Note Properties
  • Group Properties
  • Technology Element Properties
  • Technology Element Documentation
  • Strategy Element Documentation
  • Label is lost on everything within all views except: Note (which retains its label).

Environment: Windows 64 Bit Installation, Archimate 5.3, Database Plugin 4.9.8, MS SQL Server 2022 Development.

This is an excellent plugin, but these items will keep us from making the plugin available to our EA team for use., as we are making extensive use of Properties and Labels in our models. I appreciate your efforts on this excellent plugin and for helping to correct these issues. Thank you!

Thank you. I ran another test today and got different results, so it looks like I had some testing errors (my apologies). This time the only issue I see during an Export and Import cycle into a freshly initialized DB, was that the Label definitions on everything expect the Note, are lost on the views exported. The Properties and Documentation items were preserved during my latest test. I've attached my Archi file if that helps your efforts. Thanks again.

I'll run some more testing also on the update and refresh processes, which is where I first saw encountered the issues I reported.

Regarding your first post, I do not use (yet) version 5.3 at work, so I will do some double checks just in case.

Thanks for your test file, I will conduct tests on it and let you know asap as well.

By the way, could you please mote detailed instructions because I failed to reproduce your issue. What I did:

  • load your model from the Archimate file you provided
  • export your model to a fresh sqlite database
  • close your model
  • import the model from the sqlite database

All the labels are correctly imported back, including on the note ...
