This is a bit of strange issue within CARD currently that causes issues sorting the genes in a downstream analysis and necessitates a lot of intervention.
Drug classes are inconsistently ordered between genes.
For instance:
MexV is disinfecting agents and antiseptics, phenicol antibiotic, macrolide antibiotic, tetracycline antibiotic, fluoroquinolone antibiotic
MexW is disinfecting agents and antiseptics, tetracycline antibiotic, macrolide antibiotic, phenicol antibiotic, fluoroquinolone antibiotic
MexVW-OprM is phenicol antibiotic, tetracycline antibiotic, disinfecting agents and antiseptics, macrolide antibiotic, fluoroquinolone antibiotic
Hi Daniel, just wanted to let you know this has been referred internally. The reason this happens is the terms are listed in the order they were connected to each term, which is not always the same, but we agree it would be clearer if they were ordered consistently
@DanCWB we are working on a major upgrade of the CARD website codebase, so will work on this issue once complete. But to double check, you mean the order of drug classes on the web page, not text output from RGI or format of the CARD download files?
The order of the text output from RGI at the time when I ran the analysis was the same as the order listed on the CARD website, I assume that the two are linked?

It would be great if Drug classes listed for each gene are consistently in the same order.
Thanks,
Daniel
