Random bind key

Is it possible to add a random 32 character bind key to a Xiaomi Thermometer LYWSD03MMC that already has ATC firmware?

I tried to "send " a bind key to the Xiaomi device with the OTA flasher, this along with a change to Mi Like advertising, but was not successful in decoding temp/humidity data on the backend using Tasmota Bluetooth with the Mi32Keys bind key enabled.

The change to Mi Like advertising succeeded on the device, as I no longer saw any data in Tasmota. Changing the device back to Custom advertising restored the temp/humidity data, so I know the device is OK.

I'm trying to get a measure of privacy for the device data due to Bluetooth saturation in my local urban environment.
