this did not help me. I tried it many times.

it also didn't help me, i re-installed via apm, cleared cache, rebooted, tried on a seperate machine as well, no luck

You should probably switch ide’s anyways, since atom got discontinued https://github.blog/2022-06-08-sunsetting-atom/. I’d recommend jetbrains personally.
