Is ERC4973 backwards compatible with ERC721

Hi, I have a question that I want to ask. Is erc4973 backward compatible with erc721? I mean if you mint(give or take) a SBT,can you view that SBT in your metamask or etherscan?

Yes that is correct. It will also show up in platforms like OpenSea.
