I came across the Syncfusion JS2 product today (https://www.syncfusion.com/products/essential-js2) and was wondering if you know if there are any attempts to get the Aurelia components supported natively like they are already doing with Angular and React.

Hi @jawa-the-hutt

Thank for your interest in Essential JS 2 platform. We do have the plan to provide Aurelia support in our Essential JS 2 platform. However, we do not have a concrete timeline when this will be available.

Thanks,
Sridhar S

I'm really interested in Aurelia support. Now that it's been a few months do you have any more rough timelines for Aurelia? (Even if it is general like 1st quarter 2018, etc...)

I'm less interested in Vue support, but will Vue support come before or after Aurelia?

(We tried the syncfusion bridge and decided against it. Native integration, like I assume JS2 will have, will be so much nicer.)

Hi again @SridharSathaSivam

Is the news ready on the Aurelia Js2 front?

Thanks!

Hi @rdellar

We have planned Essential JS 2 for Aurelia in our Wishlist and it will be tentatively available on Essential Studio Volume 2, 2018 release.

Thanks,
Sridhar S

Hi @SridharSathaSivam I am also very interested in this.
Any updates on the release time frame yet?

I too look forward to this release of Version 2 for Aurelia.

same here, would be very useful.

Well, Volume 1 was released March 13, so I am estimating June 13 for Volume 2.

@SridharSathaSivam, if you need a skilled, experienced beta tester, I am available.

Hi @gregoryagu ,

We regret to let you know that Essential JS 2 for Aurelia will not be available as part of Vol 2, 2018 release. Our feature implementation roadmap is often updated based on customer interest and unfortunately, there are several other items in our list that have received more interest from customers than the Aurelia components so we are unable to share a timeline of when Aurelia components for Essential JS 2 will be available. We will update you if there is any progress on this.

Thanks,
Sridhar S

Hi there. If i read the commit history correctly, the bridge will still actually support EJ2 - is that correct? I.e. no native implementation, but we can still use the most up to date EJ2 libraries, in Aurelia, through the bridge?

That would be really great if we could just drop in the new lib and it worked. Will try this.

@SridharSathaSivam @karthickthangasamy can either of you confirm this? If there will not be a native Aurelia version, does the bridge project work with the v2 Syncfusion libraries nicely?

Hi @daleholborow,

No, currently we don’t have any support and immediate plan for Aurelia in Essential JS 2. The Essential JS 1 Aurelia bridge will not compatible with Essential JS 2 components.

Ajith R

In looking at the source code for the different wrappers, it doesn't look that difficult to create. Maybe we can start a new project based on this one that uses the same basic format of @generateBindables.

If there was someone willing to point me in the right direction, I would take a stab at converting a few of the components that I need from V1 to V2.

That is unless there is some major difference between V1 and V2 that would make it incompatible.
