Hi Avi! A suggestion, please: change either the question text in the "Appearance" question to be clearer, or change the answer blocks to something like "More standard look" and "Unique special look" because right now, I had to read it twice because I got confused reading it, and then just assumed that "doesn't matter" = "more standard look." Thank you! :-)

The "Appearances" question should have been removed altogether. It only really applies to Linux users with medium and advanced expertise. Both Windows and macOS have stock desktops that are difficult or impossible to change, so that is what users of those platforms get used to. So when those users switch to Linux, in most cases they will choose a desktop that looks like that of Windows or macOS. It doesn't really matter to them what a stock or default desktop is or looks like.
For example, GNOME looks like macOS by default, but distros can customize it to look like Windows.
On the other hand, KDE Plasma looks like Windows by default, but distros can customize it to look like macOS.
