The setup I've shared above had the ESP8266 hooked up to my PC. I've managed to get the setup working using WLED in HyperHDR and using the ESP8266 over WiFi. While everything is working fine, there is a noticeable delay which I'd really like to get rid of. I tried using hyperserialesp8266 on my LG TV running PicCap and HyperHDR. The performance section from the overview page seems to show that the LED strip is communicating with HyperHDR; however I'm unable to get the light to respond to any command sent through HyperHDR and the logs keeps repeating that it could not detect HyperSerialEsp8266/HyperSerialESP32/HyperSerialPico device no matter which available interface (TTY0/1/2) I used or which USB I used on the back of the LG TV. Are there special drivers that need to be installed for the LG TV USB to interface with HyperHDR? |

From what I remember, WebOS does not have drivers for every serial device... the best supported were probably devices that work on the serial CDC layer, i.e. Pico, ESP32-s2 mini or ESP32 MH-ET Live (CH9102x). In HyperHDR Adalight driver set the device to 'auto' and try turn them on: in the logs you will find a list of devices and, most importantly, for each productId/vendorId. Although, due to the infamous bug in udev, this is not the final oracle yet, but it may be a hint. |

BTW in the diagram you are missing common ground between the esp8266 and the LED strip, not to mention the missing 3.3v to 5v level shifter. But this does not affect the communication between HyperHDR and esp8266, but only the functioning of the LED, (or rather its non-functioning). |

I'd like to preface that this is most likely not an issue with hyperSerialEsp8266, but I don't know where to turn to at this point.
I've successfully managed to flashed my ESP8266 ESP-12F D1 Mini Module (CH340) (purchased here: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09X389JFJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) with firmware_SK6812_RGBW_NEUTRAL.bin
My SK6812 LED strip lights up fine and according to the logs in hyperHDR, it appears it's able to interface with the ESP8266 through adalight COM3. The ESP8266 is connected through USB on the WIN PC running HyperHDR.
However, any attempt to change colors in hyperHDR does absolutely nothing.
