I think currently a YAXArray requires a :Variables axis for YAXArrays. It would be nice if you could just specify the axis used for the indices.

That's a very nice suggestion, thanks! This should be an easy kwarg to compute_index(; yaxarray_name = :Variables) that the user can modify
