Describe the feature
Please add support for Python 3.13 to the next aws/codebuild/standard image.

Python 3.13 was released on 2024-10-07, as stated here:

Additional context
Based on use-cases, it would be great if the support could be scheduled together with support of Python 3.13 in Lambda and/or in AL2023 - This enable us to use different AWS services smoothly together.

Python 3.13 for Lambda is currently in preview: aws/aws-lambda-base-images#168

Oh I see 3.13 in the Management Console for Lambda so it would be good if this could get added to codebuild soon.

It would be good if aws-sam-cli in the Codebuild image could be updated to 1.128.0 or later as well as that adds support for python3.13: https://github.com/aws/aws-sam-cli/releases/tag/v1.128.0

Python 3.13 support in Lambda was announced today - https://aws.amazon.com/pt/blogs/compute/python-3-13-runtime-now-available-in-aws-lambda/

It would be great to see finally that AWS is releasing features at once.

Why to have lambda with runtime 3.13 when you can't use code build with AWS docker images that supports that runtime?

Will there be a future when teams within AWS speak to each other and coordinate releases?

If you can't wait there's a comment on how you can update aws-sam-cli on this old issue (though not ideal as it means extra build time): #662
