Hello Ayaka,

I hope this message finds you well. I recently came across your project, and I am keen to explore its capabilities further.

However, I have encountered some challenges while attempting to deploy the project. Specifically, I am experiencing an unusually high CPU usage which seems disproportionate to the expected performance. Additionally, the web interface consistently returns a '502 Bad Gateway' error, hindering my ability to use the project effectively.

Could you kindly provide an update on the current status of the project? Are there any known issues or maintenance activities that might be causing these problems? Furthermore, if you have any troubleshooting steps or recommendations to resolve these issues, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and effort in creating and maintaining this project. I am looking forward to your response and to contributing to the project's success in any way I can.

Hello, thanks for your interest.

  • Firstly, You need a server with (2-core CPU , 4 GB memory) to run overleaf, this is the minimum requirement.
  • Secondly, about the maintenance of this project, I don't want to maintain this any more, because the time and cost it need. From my point of view, turning to overleaf SaaS platform is the best solution. The data is backed up regularly, you can use AI debug, and other reference index and so on.

This is a patched-version of overleaf, no one can guarantee that this is bug free, and I you encountered some problems, how to restore you data, how to immigrate you db.

Thanks for you consideration.

Thank you very much for your response. I truly appreciate your efforts in maintaining this project.

I understand that many users, including myself, do not necessarily need to host the project on a public cloud, so server performance is usually not an issue. Typically, users who require this project have access to servers with multiple cores, often in the tens. If you need, I can also provide some free resources to help with this.

Additionally, I have noticed that the issue might be related to code merging. After reviewing your code, I found that the problem could be due to updates from the official Overleaf repository, which might have caused conflicts with the patch. If possible, could you consider making the source code repository public? I believe this would be highly beneficial for many users who are learning Overleaf or looking to develop it further.
