What are your thoughts on a TRACE log level?

I'd be willing to implement.

Hello,

I understand the need, even if I wouldn't use it myself. For me the debug level is enough.

Although I wouldn't recommend to wait for my approval, because I'm not really active anymore on my public projects. So I'd recommend to fork the repo and implement the changes on your fork for example.

For what I understand, syslog and journald don't implement the TRACE level, but you can send a TRACE log message as DEBUG for those output.

The console, file and callback output can easily implement the TRACE level though.

That's great, and thanks for the insight, and i appreciate your time.

Would you atleast be open to merging the pull request in time however so it can eventually make it's way into distros?

I like having dependencies that are in the default repos of the big distros.
