rclone update release

Hey. we are currently implementing a backup of a persistent volume using volsync and restic with rclone to a sharepoint instance. rclone supports the oauth client credential flow for onedrive/sharepoint since version 1.69.0, see https://rclone.org/changelog/#v1-69-0-2025-01-12 for details:

I have seen 65bb3ad and c8aad9a are upgrading rclone up to v1.71.1 and this also seems to be part of the release 0.14.0. Is there already a timeline, when this release is planned? Would it be possible to get a release candidate for this version?

@eklatzer good timing! We just had a meeting yesterday where we were talking about making a v0.14.0 rc0 candidate release.

You're correct, moving to rclone v1.71.1 is planned for v0.14.0 - I don't have an exact release date but it will be approx 1 month out if not longer.

However, I do plan on making an rc0 build soon (hopefully in the next day or two) once a couple other PRs merge.

@tesshuflower Good morning, thanks for the quick response. I have seen, that there is already a new tag for the release candidate. Will you also publish the release candidate as helm chart and if yes, when will this happen?

@eklatzer Sorry, I didn't get around to actually creating the pre-release last week, but it's done now. I've created a PR for the helm charts, after this merges it should be available: backube/helm-charts#61
