Games take a long time to create and (in my experience) don't "wow" GCSE-level kids, but there are some good examples out there.

How does it compare to other languages?

What about video?

Is Racket the correct language for creating interactive stories?

  1. What is the target age?
  2. How interactive does it need to be?
  3. Does it hold kid's interest?

Footnotes

  1. What makes the cut? How do you filter out bad or inappropriate content? Is the content safe and age appropriate? Some people say the content is a bit naff and kids aren't stupid these days. If we use a language metaphor, at what age is Racket engaging or understandable in comparison to Scratch? There's a big difference between a 5 year old and a 6 year old, for instance. Some very basic parts of How to Design Programs might be taught to 10–12 years but there's specific courses for that age.
